As Bais Chabad of North Oak Park celebrates nearly 20 years at the 10 Mile Rd. building, we have launched a Fundraising Campaign to secure the legacy of our founders and to shape the future of the Jewish community in Oak Park and the surrounding area. Although we have generous support from our small but dedicated congregation, the Shul's financial needs exceed the basic membership dues and discretionary giving realized throughout the calendar year.
We are now at a critical juncture. Nearly twenty years of heavy use at our Oak Park location, with few improvements, have taken a toll and our physical limitations are very apparent. However, before we can address these issues, current financial obligations must be met.
The challenge to meet our current and future financial needs can only be met through the combined efforts of the members of our congregation. Together, we share a collective responsibility to guarantee that our Shul will continue to nourish our children, our grandchildren and future generations.
Please give whatever your heart encourages, and your means allow. Gifts of any amount are welcome and will be acknowledged on a scroll of donors. Please feel free to forward this tzedakah opportunity to friends and family.
How will the funds be used?
About BCNOP:
At BCNOP, our mission is to provide a nourishing, inclusive and nonjudgmental environment where any Jewish person, regardless of background or affiliation, may explore our heritage and strengthen ties to the Torah and our Jewish community. We make available the resources and opportunities to daven, grow, understand, be fulfilled and experience joy in Yiddishkeit.
While our official membership is comprised of seventy families, we pride ourselves on Chabad's 'open door' policy of welcoming all to our daily minyanim, extensive community and Chassidic events, Yom Tov celebrations, and educational programs. In addition, our large social hall is utilized by the broader Jewish community, hosting events and Simchah celebrations throughout the year.
