Saadia Deri’s Final Request Before He Was Killed in Gaza: “Take care of my wife and children.”
Saadia Deri z”l, a true hero who gave his life for the people of Israel, was killed in Gaza’s Netzarim corridor in the most brutal way. Before his death, he made one prescient request to his comrades: “Take care of my wife and children.”
The day after the shiva ended, his widow, Racheli, discovered she was pregnant with their third child. With two very young children—Hallel, 2.5, and Yinon, 1.5—she faces each day with a shattered heart; Saadia was her everything, deeply involved in every minutiae of her and their children’s lives.
We, Saadia’s comrades in the elite Alexandroni Brigade, are bound by a sacred pact: when one of us falls, the rest step in.

The Fourth Front
That duty extends beyond the battlefield, to the families left behind. During this war, we fought as brothers – not just in arms – on three fronts: in the north, in Gaza and in Lebanon. For us, looking after Racheli and her children is the fourth front. And it may be the most important one yet.
Saadia’s family is now our family.
We want to provide Racheli, Hallel and Yinon and their unborn child with a home of their own.
Saadia wasn’t just a soldier; he was a scholar, a man of deep faith, a rabbinical student, a university student, and a model of courage, learning, and sacrifice and of course, a deeply devoted father. A photo of him studying the Talmud during military operations went viral as a symbol of dedication, mission, and faith. (Take a minute, if you can, to read about him and his extraordinary family.)

Join us in Brothers and Sisters in Arms in This Mission
This mission is bigger than us, and we need your help to succeed.

Your contribution is more than financial aid – it is a message of love, support, and solidarity. It is an act of shared responsibility, remembrance, and honor. Together, we can show Racheli and the children that Saadia’s bravery will never be forgotten and that we will continue to care for them just as he would have done if he were still with us.

Campaign Details
The campaign is divided into two phases:
Phase 1: Raising funds to purchase an apartment worth 4.2 million NIS in the area where Racheli currently lives in a rental (Jaffa), to keep the family within their warm, supportive community.
Phase 2: Raising funds to support the family’s daily needs, including living expenses, education, and childcare assistance.
