The Luminous Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that supports dance education for students who are traditionally underrepresented in dance convention and education spaces. As an organization, we partner with The Luminous Tour and other educational outlets to provide scholarships and financial aid for those with access needs.

We are committed to fostering a community of diverse individuals who celebrate uniqueness, community, inclusivity, and artistry. Together, we cultivate confidence, safety, and leaders of character through the art of dance. 

The Luminous Foundation's mission is to promote dance and arts education as a way to inspire self-expression, creativity, confidence, acceptance, and a love of movement. We believe dance is an enriching and valuable tool for all students as they learn to express themselves, build relationships with peers, and grow into young adults.

The Luminous Foundation offers access to the transformative power of dance for all students, regardless of their physical, financial, or cultural circumstances. In addition to providing scholarships to Luminous Tour events, we are focused on sponsoring dance studio communities while providing additional opportunities for their students throughout the year.

We’re on a mission to change lives by creating an environment where dance education is truly for all. However, we can't do it without support from our community. As a small, female, + queer owned company, we have put all our resources into this mission and are seeking individuals and corporations to sponsor students and/or studios for educational experiences.

ALL donations are TAX DEDUCTIBLE and all donors will receive a thank you letter detailing how you have supported a student(s) experience at an event.

About the Luminous Tour Dance Convention

The Luminous Tour is a one of a kind arts education experience that is set out to change the dance convention industry. Founded with the principles of inclusivity, diversity, and exploration, Luminous aims to be a dance convention for all. With a lineup of over 15+ well vetted industry professionals, 6+ styles of dance each weekend, yoga, improvisation parties, showcase opportunities and more, we are ready to shake things up and lead with the JOY of dance.

We are a queer, woman owned dance convention, with a special partnership with Unique Movers Dance and are Dance Equity Association certified. During all regional cities and summer workshops, Luminous will hold a Unique Movers class where all students get the opportunity to unite and experience a beautiful hour together. We are also proud to be providing need-based scholarships towards each event.
