In Israel today there are still about 180,000 Holocaust survivors, one in three of whom live below the poverty line. In Beersheva, the new construction of an Amigour Center with 111 apartments for senior citizens in need will help to reduce the distress.
"Keeping alive the memory of the Shoa's crime against humanity is our unconditional duty. This also includes enabling the survivors to live out there life in dignity. That is why I wholeheartedly support the promotion of Amigour housing facilities by Keren Hayesod", explained Christine Lambrecht, Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection, when taking over the patronage for this project.
Until September 15, you have the opportunity to make your contribution to the construction of three floors in the Amigour senior citizens' center in Beersheva.
