What is Anatevka?

Anatevka has been familiar to us ever since Sholem Aleichem introduced Tevye the Dairyman (‘Fiddler on the Roof’).

Today Anatevka is reborn. Now this is the place, where want to return. The place where refugees and children have been rescued and keep being rescued.

Anatevka is a picturesque village located near Kyiv. This is a special place where hundreds of Jewish children receive decent upbringing and world class education regardless of their age and social status of their parents.

There is a kindergarten and a Jewish secondary school, Cheder and a lyceum for girls. In each of these educational institutions children receive necessary resources. As a result it will allow them to be not only happy, but also successful and skilled professionals. Moreover, it will enable them to be fully integrated into society, observing all Jewish traditions.

Each year, the number of students is growing. Recently it has doubled and still increasing. This joyous occasion and immense desire for growth has determined our participation in the “Giving Day”.

We believe that with your support, together we will be able to give every child an opportunity to receive not only a worthy education, but also become a happy and a decent person raised in the best Jewish traditions!
