The Spirit of our community - Empowering Bnos Chabad to Shape the Future

Ohel Chana- Werdiger Learning Institute is a world renowned Chabad-Lubavitch tertiary-level learning institute. It caters specifically to the student who is committed to advanced Torah study and a Chassiddishe life-style.  Ohel Chana was established in 1971 at the direct initiative of the Lubavitcher Rebbe in the name of his mother, Rebbetzin Chana OBM. The Rebbe took a personal interest in the development of Ohel Chana and the progress of its students by enquiring regularly after their welfare and asking for regular reports to be sent to him. Since then, Ohel Chana has remained proudly dedicated to the continuation of the Chassidishe legacy of its founder.

For over 50 years the students of Ohel Chana have enlivened the Melbourne community, bringing the spirit of the global Chabad standard, making connections and acting as role models and hands on leaders to youth for generations.

With our dynamic Hanhola leadership group, our future continues to look even brighter at OC as our curriculum has been overhauled and our passionate teaching cohort bolstered.

Amidst expressions of interest now at an all time high, we invite the community, our alumni and those impacted by OC- to partner with us and catapult OC into the next stage of its special Shlichus empowering Bnos Chabad and igniting the spirit of our community.

We will utilise these vital funds to touch up our heritage listed dormitory facility to ensure our students continue to enjoy the privilege of high quality learning and exceptionally comfortable living amenities. We will also continue to allocate scholarships to ensure deserving students attend and leave their indelible mark on our community
