On October 7th, Israel suffered the deadliest terrorist attack in its history. In a single day, thousands were murdered, injured, or taken hostage—and in the aftermath, over 750 families joined the unbearable circle of Israeli bereavement.
For those left behind, grief is overwhelming, isolating, and never-ending. The world moves on, but their pain remains. They need more than condolences—they need a community that understands, a support system that carries them when they can’t stand on their own. You can help provide that support. Donate now to make sure no bereaved family is left alone.
The Koby Mandell Foundation has been that lifeline for bereaved families for over two decades. But today, the need is greater than ever. To meet this unprecedented demand, we have expanded our reach in ways we never imagined:
Home Visits: Increased from 120 early in the war to 1,070 visits—a 791% increase.
Retreats: Expanded from 4 per year to 21 since October 7th—a 425% increase.
Staff Growth: Grew from 5 staff members to 17—a 240% increase.
Family Participation: Increased from 700 to 1,200 families—a 71% increase.
Camp Attendance: Expanded from 400 to 620 campers—a 55% increase.
These figures reflect the tremendous growth of The Koby Mandell Foundation as we rise to meet the urgent and growing needs of bereaved families. But this growth comes with a challenge—we need more resources to sustain and expand these life-changing programs.
This is our mission now. And we need you with us.
Together, we will ensure that every bereaved family feels surrounded with care, that every orphan, parent, or widow has a space of hope and strength to continue.
To continue living—because we are life itself.
Founded in 2002 by Seth and Sherri Mandell, The Koby Mandell Foundation was born from personal tragedy—the murder of their 13-year-old son, Koby, in a brutal terrorist attack. Months before his death, Koby told a friend: "I feel sorry for the people who were killed, but I feel even more sorry for those who are left behind."
That belief is at the heart of our mission. No one should have to grieve alone. Give now to bring comfort, healing, and hope to those who need it most.
