WE CAN REACH THE GOAL
As Israel Concludes, the Diaspora Picks Up Steam in Kiryas Melech Campaign to Assist Rav Chaim Kanievsky and His Son, Rav Shlomo
At this very moment, the global campaign on behalf of Rav Shlomo Kanievsky and Yeshivas Kiryas Melech-Kiryas Melech in Bnei Brak is at a crucial juncture.
The day may have ended for those in Israel, but for those in the United States and elsewhere, the campaign continues at full throttle, with the goal of reaching $5 million.
If the funds are raised, the yeshiva will be saved.
It is a question of survival, nothing less.
Askonim and volunteers are manning phones, soliciting others, and doing all they can to ensure that this campaign hits the goal.
Rav Chaim Kanievsky has experienced anguish because of the crisis facing Kriyas Melech, which is led by his son, Rav Shlomo.
Throughout the day, Rav Chaim asked his confidants how the campaign has been going. He stopped his learning several times to inquire about the state of the campaign. His penetrating words, "My son’s salvation is my salvation," expresses just how personal this current effort is to Rav Chaim, who serves as the nosi of Kiryas Melech.
Now is our chance to make a difference.
Every dollar counts.
And we can do it.
Let’s all reach out, contribute, and contact everyone we know – by phone, email, text, WhatsApp, whatever – to ensure that we are doing all we can to merit Rav Chaim’s brocha that he will be meilitz tov on behalf of those who participate in this campaign.
Time is of essence.
There’s not a moment to waste.
We must act now.
Let’s join together to reach the $5 million goal to save Yeshiva Kiryas Melech.
Rav Chaim has asked Yidden across the globe to come to Rav Shlomo's aid, writing a letter himself requesting that we do what we can to save Yeshivos Kiryas Melech and Tiferes Tzion of Bnei Brak. Rav Chaim, in his specially penned letter, writes that his son, Rav Shlomo, is experiencing immense difficulties sustaining his yeshivos, and since, as Chazal say, ben kara d'avuha, a son is the extension of his father, Rav Chaim says that Rav Shlomo’s salvation is his salvation and Rav Shlomo’s yeshuah is his yeshuah and adds, "Bli neder, if I am able, I will intercede in the future on behalf of all those who help."
The yeshiva is now in dire straits and the current emergency campaign is aimed at ensuring that its kol Torah can continue unabated.
Rav Chaim has requested that we heed his call and come to his aid.
We know what our answer must be.
Let us answer loudly, clearly, and in unison,
“Yes, we will.”
