In the shadow of the October 7th massacre and ongoing war, families from the Negev endure a silent, relentless battle. The looming conflict and incessant sirens  have forced them to relocate to unfamiliar cities. They grapple with more than just the stress of moving: cramped quarters, shattered routines, and the struggle to start over without essential items and familiar comforts. Children ripped from their familiar surroundings and schedules  also face the daunting challenge of new schools. Parents, overwhelmed by financial and emotional burdens, struggle to comfort their children and piece together their fragmented lives. This is a fight against continuous stress, trauma, and anxiety.

Rabbi Aharon Asayag’s Swift and Compassionate Response

In response to this turmoil, Rabbi Aharon Asayag, founder of Ya'adir Torah BaNegev, acted swiftly. Recognizing the urgent need, he borrowed $2 million and initiated a relief operation.  Securing 300 apartments in Jerusalem and essentials like meals, clothes, and educational  support, Rabbi Asayag’s efforts laid the foundation for 'Mateh Hachessed,' an organization committed to addressing today's urgent needs while strategically preparing for the future challenges of the displaced  families.

Compassion in Action: Mateh Hachessed's Comprehensive Aid 

Emerging from the esteemed foundations of Ya'adir Torah BaNegev, Mateh Hachessed delivers extensive assistance to thousands of displaced Yidden, combining diligent care with precise planning and effective systems. From the onset of the war, Mateh Hachessed has delivered vital aid to over 8000 families, including 2000 single-parent households and 450 and individuals with special needs, ensuring relief  stability through a wide range of services:
