Nevut: A Life-Saving Mission
Imagine the gut-wrenching fear of being under attack, hearing what sounds like an RPG, reexperiencing battle—only to realize it's just a plane flying overhead. You are home and you are safe.
The scars of war don't fade when the fighting ends; they linger, following soldiers long after they return to civilian life. Nevut is stepping in to provide the critical support needed to address the invisible wounds of war: PTSD, trauma, a sense of disconnect, and a loneliness that settles in once soldiers return to everyday life.
Over 50,000 programs exist to help U.S. Army veterans navigate these struggles. However, for IDF lone soldiers returning to the United States, not a single program existed. Even after reuniting with their loved ones and communities, no one around them truly understood the unique weight they carried. Thousands of our bravest heroes were battling in silence, alone.
That’s why Ari Abramowitz founded Nevut in 2017. By lone soldiers for lone soldiers, Nevut’s life-saving mission creates a vital sense of brotherhood and camaraderie for lone soldiers in the US—One Unit for Life. Through carefully curated programs that blend therapeutic care with community connection, Nevut empowers lone soldiers to heal, grow, and thrive alongside those who truly understand their experiences.
Our Programs:
Beyond Soldiers
Nevut’s vital mission extends beyond the soldiers themselves. Nevut also offers round-the-clock support to the heroic families of service members, providing free mental health consultations for parents and spouses, along with emergency financial assistance during active duty.
The Urgent Need
The atrocities of October 7th led to the largest military reserve call-up in Israel’s history. In the past year, thousands of lone soldiers who went to fight have returned to the U.S., creating an unprecedented demand for Nevut’s services. Our therapy retreats alone cost over $70,000 per program, and we urgently need funds to add new case managers to keep pace with the growing need.
Our Chayalim are our heroes.
They risk their lives to defend our homeland and ensure the safety of our brothers and sisters in Israel, and they need our help!
Please give your support by donating to Nevut’s life-saving mission.
They fight for our lives.
Now it’s time we fight for theirs!
