Dear friends,
On Wednesday morning I walked into the Plaza Chabad House to teach a class and I found the space in shambles. Books and papers were strewn everywhere, the electric wires were ripped out of the walls, and the plumbing pipes were cut and a flood of water was damaging the premises.
The local police currently believe that this was not a targeted hate crime which is relieving; nevertheless, our sacred space has been desecrated, and our community has been rendered homeless.
We call on our friends and allies to help us secure a temporary location to house our community and programs. As a community, we will emerge stronger than before, with the knowledge that during a time of crisis, we came together.
If you are in a position, to make a financial gift, please do so. If you have a location that might be available for us to use, please reach out.
Thank you.
