Novosibirsk is the capital of Siberia, the winter weather reaches 45 minus.
My wife and I were privileged to be the Rebbe's emissaries in Novosibirsk. For over 20 years we have been investing all our energy in Jewish education in the city, in order to build the Jewish future for the next generation! During these years, many hundreds of children and families came out of their spiritual stagnation and came closer and connected to their Jewish identity and roots!
Unfortunately, to this day we do not have a suitable building for the Or Avner school and kindergartens, which will house the 130 students who are educated here today!
About two years ago, we began building a magnificent Jewish education center, which will include a school and kindergartens and diverse educational programs, including an innovative "Heart" program for integrating children with special needs with ordinary children.
The new educational center will be a great extension to what it was until today, and will provide an appropriate response to the educational needs of the community and will allow hundreds of Jewish children to identify themselves and create their quarry!
The 4000 m2 building will include 11 classrooms, 2 kindergartens, 5 classrooms on a separate floor for the care and integration of children with special needs. Dining room, banquet hall, therapeutic pool!
To date, thanks to private donors, $ 2.5 million has been invested in the project.
The amount missing to complete the construction is $ 200,000.
Construction is almost complete, all that is left is to finish the interior finish and the center is on its way!
