Shore Foundation
Goal $900,000
Shore’s motto – Vitai Lampada Tradunt – means to Hand on The Torch of Life and it is our theme for our 6th annual Giving Day. It is a unique motto because the focus is on what you can do for others, rather than mottos which seek to instil an individual focus.
In connecting with our past and with those who have passed the Torch before us, anyone who donates $500 or more (which is then doubled) may opt to have their name on a plaque of a Dining Hall chair. This is a tradition which first started in 1932 when the then Headmaster made a call to the community to help buy equipment for the school. Quite a few generations have passed since that time, so let us grab the Torch once again and think of those ahead of us as we seek to support Shore for its future capital needs and in how we may provide more means-tested bursaries at the School.
