Following the Holocaust, Klal Yisroel was in a very sad situation, the future looked increasingly gloomy. Everything near and dear to us was completely annihilated. Jewry in its entirety was almost completely forsaken, including the shteltl of Bobov in Galicia, where just a handful of Chasidim survived.

About seventy-five years ago when the few meager survivors arrived at the shores of America through the indefatigable intervention of the Bobover Ruv זצוק"ל, the Ruv stood up strong and full of energy, and announced הנני! - I AM HERE TO REESTABLISH YIDDISHKEIT THE WAY WE KNEW IT BEFORE! WE’LL COME BACK STRONGER THAN EVER BEFORE!

Slowly, the Ruv ztz”l, true to his word, started gathering the shattered people to come to the Batei Midrash and Talmudei Torah that he established for them and their children. First in the West Side of Manhattan then in Crown Heights and ultimately, in 1967, in Boro Park. Once again the Ruv ztz”l announced הנני!...We will, with the help of The One Above, recreate Boro Park into an “Ir HaTorah V’Chassidus!”

Here we are today, more than half a century later, the Ruv’s determination has paid off a thousand-fold. The Kehillah and the Mosdos have grown immeasurably, as we are now one of the largest and most prominent Kehillos the world over. Our Mosdos include over 7,000 students between the Yeshivos and the girls’ schools, and a staff numbering close to a 1,000.

However, to date all those buildings from long ago have Baruch Hashem been outgrown. As the years go by the growth of our Kehilla is evolving exponentially faster and faster, but the buildings did not grow along. It’s been twenty years since a new building has been built for the mosdos in Boro Park. But now the time has come. We are simply bursting out of the current buildings.

Now the Ruv Shlit”a stood up and proclaimed הנני! …We will once again reestablish! We will build two magnificent new buildings for our greatest treasures, our precious children!

We will make sure that our children will be able to sit and learn in comfort so that the Torah they acquire will stay with them!

To that end we immediately undertook a huge project to build two new buildings totaling one third of a million square feet for Torah and Chinuch. Such a project will cost no less than the astronomical sum of $125,000,000!

It is self-understood that such an undertaking cannot be achieved single handedly. This can only be accomplished with the great assistance and unity of the entire community. Therefore Bobover Chasidim, the entire world over have gathered and announced הנני! - We are ready and eager to make sure that these Torah and Chinuch fortresses will be completed in a timely manner!

Therefore, we now urge Klal Yisroel
