Belz Shul on Maple Terrace is the icon of Belz in Monsey. The pulsing heart of the chassidus for 32 years. Since its inception, it has served as a second home to every mispallel. From the hartzige baal tefillah to the beloved candy man, from the respected talmidei chachamim to the serious balabatim.
With the Belzer Rav gracing the chanukas habayis, Belz Monsey was established on strong foundations with the shul on Maple Terrace as the epicenter. Since that memorable day in 1991, the kol Torah has only risen stronger. Over the past 32 years, the shul has been abuzz with daily minyanim, an esteemed kollel, the masmidim groups for young boys in the early evening, and the yungerleit and balabatim attending kvias itim every night.
There is a place for everyone in the heart of Monsey, in the heart of Belz.
From its humble beginning of 60 mispallelim, Belz has since exploded to a kehilla of approximately 700 families and seven shtieblech. The Maple Terrace shul still serves as the center of Belz, accommodating the largest part of the community and hosting myriad events. Its central location is also inviting to many people from the surrounding area.
Now, 32 years later, the shul can no longer accommodate its tremendous growth.
Every part of the shul has become overly crowded and worn out. From the kollel to the ezras nashim, from the mikvaos to the seating by davening.
With tremendous siyatte dishmaya, plans were made to extend the main heichel, build a larger ezras nashim, a spacious kollel, a new heichal haTorah, more davening rooms and mikvaos.
It’s a dream.
A dream only YOU can make come true!
The entire community has joined us in this tremendous zechus of building a makom for Hakadosh Baruch Hu. They have opened their wallets and contributed generously, raising 4 million dollars to enable the construction to begin!
And today, 90% is complete.
However, without the remaining 10%, we cannot use the shul. Your support is crucial in making this project a reality.
