An act of Terror that shocked us all as the Festival of Passover, the festival of our freedom, came to a close, it was an act of inhumane indecency. It was act of selfishness and evil that ran so deep in the psyche.
How do we respond to such evil?
What can one person do?
One person can start a chain of selflessness; with light, with goodness, with humanity.
Inspired by the Lubavitcher Rebbe's response to dealing with a violent act of terror, the answer is to spread goodness and kindness and reenact the Moment of Silence in schools to learn to think of others and be human, which means not to "swallow each other alive".
This is A Moment of Silence Campaign which leads to doing acts of goodness and kindness. We call it Pause for Poway, where one takes a moment and pauses and then does a good kindness for someone else, where one thinks of another,
where one vanquishes the darkness by becoming a beacon of light.
